What does this world need?

What does this world Need?

Maybe this world doesn’t need so much of equality, as it needs equity. Some believe that for those of us who have been given much, it is our responsibility to give back to make this world a better place. At times people are offered lucrative positions, but only ever choose to work in the places where they are needed the most, so they could live out their values. It is said that a Legacy, isn’t something we look back on at the end of our lives, it is how we choose to live every day that builds a legacy in the lives of others. The legacy that one leaves behind will be in the lives of those they have guided and mentored along the way. Sometime the impact people leave will live on generations from now. We should all strive to live a life left as a Legacy

Should we wonder, as we look back on our lives, who it is that stands out most in our heart for having helped us through some difficult times; for having stepped in when no one else did? Who is that in your life?

I have a handful of people like that in my life; people who have given of themselves and of what they had, when I was in need. And  I will never forget what they have done  for me.

But this true help – be it from friends or from strangers – is becoming less and less common as we become more and more absorbed in ourselves.

When was the last time you stepped into someone’s life and gave sacrificially, in a way that really cost you something in their hour of need?

Proverbs 11:24-26 Some people give freely and gain more; others refuse to give and end up with less. Give freely, and you will profit. Help others, and you will gain more for yourself. People curse a greedy man who refuses to sell his grain, but they bless a man who sells his grain to feed others.
