mainly music is a safe and welcoming place where families of pre-school aged children share in song, rhymes, chatting, playing with toys and morning tea for both the children and their carers. It is run by members of Carlingford Uniting Church on the church premises. Each program includes well-known songs and rhymes, together with a number of "God-songs". The program was started twenty five years ago in New Zealand and now operates across the world. Throughout the session, children develop gross and fine motor skills, language, imagination, mathematical and pre-reading skills as well as socialize with others.
At Carlingford Uniting Church the program is run by willing volunteers who want to introduce children to music, dance, beat, rhythm and more, as well as provide a base for your family to think about the God-part of life. It is amazing to think that all this can be achieved in a loving environment you can share with your child.
Carlingford Uniting Church mainly music celebrated it's fifth birthday in February 2019.
The program is designed to be creative. We make every effort to keep the program fresh and fun for the children. Parents and carers are encouraged to participate with their children in each action song, rhyme and activity. We have a door charge of $5 per family per week. This is to cover the operating costs of this mainly music.
We meet in the top hall of Carlingford Uniting Church, corner Pennant Hills Road and Shirley Street, Carlingford, from 9.30 to 11.00am each Friday during school terms.

We need to advise that the success of our program has created a situation where we have had to, reluctantly, introduce a Waiting List. Being on the Waiting List enables you to attend three sessions in a term, pending a place becoming available. If you would like to register on the Waiting List, please leave a message on the Get in touch page, by selecting "mainly music" in the drop-down menu.
