Today is the Day of Salvation

Today is the day of salvation. (2 Corinthians 6:2, NLT) – Welcome Rev. Deborah Yun

Hello everyone! This is Deborah - I will be the supply minister for the next 6 months. I am thankful for having this opportunity to be your minister even for a short period of time. I believe that a minister is called to a particular place, for a particular time, with a particular purpose, and I have prayed about it since I accepted your call. I am aware that you have entered into an exciting time with the West Epping congregation, and I hope and pray that the process will end with great success. An American tennis player, Arthur Ashe Jr, once said, “Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome.” Sometimes, we run so fast to get to the destination, we often miss wonderful moments in the middle of the journey. What if the best parts of the journey are happening in the middle of it? Paul says in 2 Corinthians 6:2, “… Indeed, the ‘right time’ is now. Today is the day of salvation.” The past is to be reflected and the future is to be anticipated, but “today is the most important time because it is the only time that we have any power (Leo Tolstoy). Let’s walk with the Lord today! Let’s seek the Lord today! Let’s love and serve the Lord today! Let’s share our blessings, whatever they are, with others, whoever they are, today! …. Today…, it is the day of salvation!
