My Friends Think I’m Peculiar
My friends think I’m peculiar,
Some say I am a little odd
Most think that I’m just weird
Because I still trust in God.
They too were once believers,
But now they walk in the dark
The light once shinning in them
Has become cold and stark.
They no longer hunger, Or thirst for the righteous way
They no longer see the truth In what the Bible has to say.
For most they have given up,
The narrow way was too hard
And with every bump and jolt
Their faith in God was jarred.
Now their hearts are set upon,
The worldly things of the flesh
They tell me that my beliefs
And their desires do not mesh.
My friends think I’m peculiar,
Some say I am a little odd…
But I pray for them everyday
To turn back and trust in God. –
