Friends

Friends

We have many friends in our circle, from all sorts of meetings throughout our lives. Some have been there for ever, some have gone, but some of these friends may be the ones we go to when we  are questioning our relationship with God, or going through a difficult time in our personal life, or feeling particularly anxious. Or they may be the friend you go to if you want a happy night out, or the ones that help us to find peace of mind and feel less alone. Or the one you can just sit with on a park bench and say nothing. All of these friends, from different walks of life, school, work, sport, etc. make our lives a woven tapestry, but they also remind us about the power of friendship and love.

Whether we have a friend who is sick, or about to go on a long trip, or just in need of a few healing words to get them through a hard week, our prayers will provide comforting words to make them feel protected and heard by God. It is not only OUR relationship with God that is important, but also our relationship with those we love and care about. We can always be  reminded  how precious our friendships  are with each individual.

We can give thanks for our friends, for connections and laughter, for comfort and strength, for encouragement and unity, for forgiveness and grace, for celebration and joy. Our friends are so many things to us, and give us such a rich tapestry of blessings, woven through our lives.

We treasure our wonderful friends and are grateful for their presence in our lives.
