Effective 1 August 2023, Rev 'Oto Faiva commenced his ministry as Minister/Ministry Team Leader of the Carlingford and West Epping Uniting Church congregations.
The Church Councils of the two congregations have endorsed a proposal for the two congregations to explore combined ministry and mission opportunities. In effect, the two congregations will move to a governance structure operating under a single Church Council. The induction of Rev Faiva was an important first step in this process. The focus now turns to the calling of a second minister.
Carlingford Uniting Church is embarking on an exciting chapter in its life as the Congregation and Church Council have endorsed a model of ministry and mission with the nearby West Epping Uniting Church.
Specific to this future is the desire to call a Church Plant Minister of the Word whose ministry will focus the establishment of a new worship community at Carlingford based on the high/medium density developments in the area surrounding our churches. Initially, the specific focus will be on the Carlingford Precinct Area.

Pastoral Partners is a ministry of building relationships and offering care to others. Pastoral Partners are members of the Carlingford Uniting Church congregation. Pastoral Partners commit themselves to care for a small group of people in a non-intrusive and neighbourly way. They are people who make the effort to get alongside people and, in time, to get to know them well. They are people who provide support in joyous times and at times of sadness.
They are prepared to invest time in training and mutual support and have a wish to grow meaningful relationships. A Pastoral Partner is a team person and one who undertakes to pray for those with whom they are building relationships.

Baptism is the sign of belonging in the Christian faith and the membership of the Church. Baptism occurs as part of the regular Sunday church service. We welcome and encourage people of faith - children and adults - to be baptised.
