Who are we at Carlingford Uniting Church?

23 Jun 2019 by Margaret Wigmore in: Looking Out

We are ordinary people from all walks of life, who share a belief in Jesus Christ and a view that every person is valuable in God’s eyes. We believe that all people are created by God, and God doesn’t make mistakes!

Maybe we are travelling happily through life, or maybe we are struggling and need some friends to walk alongside. Our church family, here at Carlingford are here for you no matter where you have been, what you have done, or where you are on life’s journey.  We want to practise our Discipleship in calling to be a worshipping, living, serving community bearing witness locally and globally to God’s grace and work in Jesus.

As a Uniting Church we believe we are an Empowering people, valuing all people for their unique gifts and strengths. ...  We believe in Community and innovation, and want to become responsive to opportunities for growth and innovation. ...   we want to be  ….. Compassionate. ...  Respectful. ...Bold. ... and Imaginative.

We have had our two Planning sessions, now it is time for action.

What could we do to increase the positive experiences of people coming   into this congregation, for people from all walks of life, Older, middle age, teenagers, people with challenges in Life?
